For policies submitted on or after June 29, 2025, Ethos handles the initial premium payment for TruStage policies. That means no more chargebacks on initial payments — a big win for you!
Here are a few things to know:
- Only ACH payments are accepted. Clients can’t pay the initial premium by credit card.
- For initial payments, you can update the client’s bank account in the Customers tab with the client’s permission. Changes to the account for recurring payments must be handled by TruStage.
- Clients will see different names on their bank statements:
- For the initial payment: “Ethos Life–TruStage”
- For recurring payments: “TruStage CMFG” or “TruStage MEMBERS”
