As the writing agent, you can add up to two additional agents when creating a quote from the Quote & Application tab or on the Thank You page after submitting the application.
How to add a split agent
- Enter the agent’s name or National Producer Number (NPN)
- Enter the split percentage
- Click Save.
The agent will be added to the quote or application.
Who can you split with?
- You can split with a trainer, upline, or fellow agent.
- Split agents must be:
- From the same agency
- Not terminated or locked.
- You can split with uplines, even if they earn overrides on the same policy.
Compensation rules
- The split must equal 100% of the writing agent’s compensation.
- Compensation follows the terms of the writing agent; split agents may have different terms.
- If a split agent isn’t licensed in the policy state, they won’t be paid. Payments are still generated, but will be held until all agents are eligible for payout.
