It depends on what information is needed, and how quickly the client and/or medical provider can respond. We attempt to reach an underwriting decision as quickly as possible—typically a few business days. For more information about specific underwriting requests, please see “Pending Cases” in the Client Status Cheat Sheet.
- Agents can help expedite cases in which an Electronic Interview (ETI) is requested of the client, typically when more clarity is needed on an answer to an application question. Reach out to your client and ask them to respond to their emailed questionnaire as soon as possible.
- No further action is needed from you or your client for any other manual underwriting inquiry.
