During Onboarding

Is it mandatory to set up a passkey during onboarding?

No. It's optional. You can choose SMS OTP instead and add a passkey later from your Settings page if you change your mind.

How do I set up a passkey during onboarding?

During onboarding, when you reach the "Secure Your Account" screen, select "Use passkey."

Your device will prompt you with a PIN or biometric check. Follow the on-screen steps, and you're done — it takes under 30 seconds.

What if the passkey option doesn't show up during onboarding?

It means your current browser or device doesn't meet the requirements for passkeys. You'll automatically be shown the SMS OTP option instead.

  • Company-managed device: Contact your IT administrator to enable the OS authenticator on your machine.
  •  Personal device: Enable it yourself:
    • Windows: Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options → PIN / Fingerprint / Face → Set up
    • Mac: System Preferences → Touch ID → Add a fingerprint
    •  iPhone / iPad: Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Set up Face ID / Add a fingerprint
    • Android: Settings → Biometrics and Security → Fingerprint or Face recognition → Follow on-screen steps

What if I start setting up a passkey but cancel halfway?

No problem. You'll be taken back to the "Secure Your Account" screen with the message "Setup cancelled. You can try again or switch to Phone OTP." Nothing is saved if you cancel.

10. What if I choose OTP during onboarding — can I switch to passkey later?

Yes. Go to Settings → Account Settings → Account Security → Add This Device to set up a passkey anytime after onboarding.

11. What if I choose a passkey during onboarding — can I switch back to OTP later?

Yes. You can verify your phone number from Settings →  Account Settings → Personal Profile and use OTP to log in instead.
