I set up my passkey on my work laptop — can I log in on another device?
Yes, in a few ways:
- If your passkey is synced via Google or iCloud, it's available automatically on other devices in that ecosystem
- If not synced, you can scan a QR code (prompted by the browser) with your phone to authenticate
- If neither works, fall back to Email OTP + Phone OTP
How do synced passkeys work (iCloud / Google Password Manager)?
If you're signed into Chrome with a Google account or use Safari on Apple devices, your passkey is automatically saved to Google Password Manager or iCloud Keychain. It becomes available on any device where you're signed into that account.
I onboarded on my phone — how do I log in on my desktop?
On the login page, click "Sign in with passkey." If your passkey isn't available on the current device, your browser will automatically prompt a QR code. Scan it with your phone and approve the login using your phone's biometric. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on both devices.
