​​How can my client update their TruStage™ policy payment method?

It depends on where they are in the process:

Before their first payment is processed
Clients can’t access TruStage™ yet. They should log in to the Ethos Customer Portal using their email. Once logged in:

  • Select Payment
  • Click “Edit” under Payment Methods
  • Enter the new information 
  • Click “Save”.
     

With the client’s permission, you can also update their payment method in the Agent Portal:

  1. Contact your client.
  2. Go to the Customers tab.
  3. Open their policy.
  4. Click the More menu (⋮) and select “Update Customer Payment.”
  5. Click “Send SMS code to retry.”
  6. Enter SMS code provided by your client.
  7. Enter their new payment details.
     

Both methods automatically trigger Ethos to retry their payment and get the first payment through successfully.

After the initial payment is processed:
Once the policy status is Premium Paying, your client can create a TruStage login at trustage.com/myaccount. Then, they can update their recurring payment method.
