Total compensation is calculated using the writing agent’s compensation terms.
- That total is then split according to the percentages set by the writing agent.
- Each agent is paid their share of the split according to their own payment tier (as-earned or advance).
If you split with an agent at a lower compensation level, they are paid based on your rate for their portion of the split, but their payout timing follows their own terms.
